This explains that learning can occur anywhere and that properly designed learning spaces can develop the learners’ creativity. -

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoI also take the view that classroom walls do not have to be physically broken down. Learning can take place anywhere with technology using internet connected devices. Any space can be turned into a learning space e.g. homes, museums, playgrounds, field excursion, green spaces, auditoriums, computer labs, public spaces, learning centers, courtyards, etc.

Walter, I think the 1st one is not necessarily about learning outside the classroom walls, but rather the relationships between home, school and the community.
-
i thought so long us are using it outside the classroom walls, you have already broken the walls Prossy

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoTechnology and innovative learning design can break down classroom walls in the virtual sense and that is sufficient for social learning styles of the futures because of the following reasons:-
Students can acquire knowledge and skills out of classroom as they are taught traditional subjects using technology.
Use of technology involves rel…[Read more]-
Very good observations Esther
-
Good observation ESther, technology promotes the creation of PLN and this goes along way in breaking down the wall.
-
all those points show the power and potential of technology. its time to think virtual

This almost summarizes everything, good points Esther

Once there is connectivity and internet, learning can go out of the classroom.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agotechnology brings a community learning system in nature. its broad, students can learn, interact, collaborate, relate, connect, access information beyond the walls of a classroom. hence breaking classroom walls
-
True Walter. If they can do all this without being pressured to stick to the traditional ways, even those walls they see will cease to cause them any discomfort. Hence breaking the walls.
-
exactly
-
-
So true walter, the students are infact given a challenge to think out of the box!
-
True Walter. It’s not physical breaking down of the walls but rather the flexibilty that comes with technology allowing learning to take place beyond the confines of the classroom.
-
they always advice us always to think outside the box and this is what all this is about
-
-
With all these mobile devises available they can continue working away from class.

7.3 3 – new things and old ways – will old tactics work with mobile technologies? 9 years, 5 months agoAfter reading the article about the use of mobile phones in learning and how it is spreading like bush fire among our 21st century learners, I have been convinced that our teaching must be tailored to the way our learners can understand. Even though it is still a gimmick in our secondary schools for any learner to carry and use a mobile phone in…[Read more]

Sulaiman,
This is the greatest of problems we faced in the teaching and learning process. To me any thing that distracts attention among learners is what i may refer to as problem behavior. These are issues as referred to in our task 3. The question is managing these issues.

Thank you Stephen

It should not worry a teacher that the student has read ahead! That should be encouraged.

1. How will the teacher deal with delays in task execution?

Thank you Jackie,
I come in to say that actually human dynamics are key to work space design.
I do agree with you Jackie with this. In reality allowing room for both online and physically interactions by any kind of design is itself flexibility. We have to think through plans and settings that allow more of these adjustments gradually.
