This is the greatest of problems we faced in the teaching and learning process. To me any thing that distracts attention among learners is what i may refer to as problem behavior. These are issues as referred to in our task 3. The question is managing these issues.

It should not worry a teacher that the student has read ahead! That should be encouraged.

I think if a teacher has been innovative even with technology he will spark more innovative ideas in lesson preparation and delivery

that’s why I call for this to emphasized from primary level of education. because you can put an old crooked tree upright, but a young one is very easy to be put up right. this will even lessen the work of teachers at higher level of learning.

You have Saïd it Charles, teachers in fact must use new technologies and Harness it in thé way it is meant to ne used ie interactively , this will d’or sûre engage them and cause
authentic learning.

Accurate analysis Charles, what we need to do as teachers and curriculum developers is to re-align our pedagogical approaches to match with the current technological advances so that we can make use of mobile devices to enhance learning. in this way we shall avoid substitution but rather move on to augmentation and even re-definition.

how I wish that possession of those technology gadgets would be true with primary and secondary. it would do the same to those teachers too.

How do we do this Julius? One way is to smartly integrate mobile devices as handy materials to enhance learning but this begins with coming out with a policy.

Take about breaking the walls project,mobile devices if planned for and integrated in our teaching /learning activities can go along way demystifying the myth of the classroom as being the only place where learning takes place

phones are even prohibited in most schools is not all schools, apart from tertiary institutes and universities.

Very true , one computer, some times they even have more but they only use the devices in the classrooms. We have not thought of learning beyond classroom walls. And this takes us back to old basket.e
