Even in their groups, they could still be encouraged to start up their own libraries of information on topics or tasks assigned to them by their teachers. -

7.3 2 – old things and new ways – one technology device in the classroom 9 years, 8 months agoWith only one technology device in class, the teacher can still go ahead and put the learners in smaller groups and allocate each group enough time to use the device. The device would therefore have to be shared and a schedule has to be put in place that all groups should adhere to.

You are right Samson. Even with the availability of that one device in class, some teachers’ attitudes may resent or resist utilizing the technology

I think that one of the key questions we should look at is; How can a teacher get to combine what the learners know about technology with what they the teachers know and require about education?
Secondly, What can a teacher do to facilitate research and collaboration amongst the learners given the only one technology device in the classroom.-

Indeed Fiona the the information at our disposal is enormous. However our role then as teachers is to guide our students on how to access authentic information and guard them against any form of exploitations that may arise from exloring the digital landscae.

yaah that’s the best way to go, but when we plan we need to cater for all what is required regardless of the challenges.

I agree with you Walter, there is need for planning and taking our students through what they should expect. We should caution them of the dangers they are likely to face.
