Thank Willex. In one resource (https://www.edutopia.org/blog/visualizing-21st-century-classroom-design-mary-wade ) Mary Wade encourages us teachers to utilise the existing classrooms and turning them into 21st Century classrooms. She outlines elements of 21 Century classrooms and shows how teachers can visualize and implement them.

Thanks Geoffrey. Site is rich with information on classroom learning and technology and it also has links. Most importantly it tells of how technology supports learning beyond the four walls.

Thanks for your contribution. The cite gives insight on extending learning beyond the classroom.

I am amused by the contrast of going to school on the first day then and now. Time will come when you can attend school on the first day from your bedroom using a mobile tech tool and say hi Tutor!!!!!
-
Wonderful resource. It does not only talk about breaking down the walls, it goes on to tell us other wonderful practices like classes becoming collaborative.

True Geoffrey and Marg. Include the following: Technology promotes self-directed learning, provides far more access to many students bringing about a universal connectivity.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoI also take the view that classroom walls do not have to be physically broken down. Learning can take place anywhere with technology using internet connected devices. Any space can be turned into a learning space e.g. homes, museums, playgrounds, field excursion, green spaces, auditoriums, computer labs, public spaces, learning centers, courtyards, etc.
