7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoThis is about how a teacher in the UK and his class passed out of the 4 walls of their classroom in a new and exciting way using technology. A real experience! Through Connecting Classrooms Community they were able to connect to a class in Brazil. later on the teacher in Brazil used a classroom ‘card’so that the students in UK were visually…[Read more]

-
Great insight provided.

This is a very good article about breaking down the walls
-
How then in our context do we break down the walls with the attendant school constructions going on, archaic curricula, etc.

this site was given earlier by Margaret, however it was a great site

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoTechnology opens up space for both teachers and learners. It’s possible for students to learn outside the walls of a physical classroom as long as they have a tech tool and connectivity. It’s also true that a teacher can also teach a larger class beyond the boundaries of classroom walls with ease!! Think about CCTI.
-
CCTI is a very good example of breaking classroom walls
-
True when technology is used properly, most places can turn into learning spaces.
-
And… I have a virtual friend… Hi Prossy! I can reach you on phone , using whatssap or email or through this platform. You are nearer than you and I think . No barriers . No walls.
-
True Prossy now we have the potential to manage our large number of learners in classes
-
-
Connectivity is really one key issues for breaking down the walls. Once a connection is set, expect to explore provided the needed resoureces are fully available.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoI also take the view that classroom walls do not have to be physically broken down. Learning can take place anywhere with technology using internet connected devices. Any space can be turned into a learning space e.g. homes, museums, playgrounds, field excursion, green spaces, auditoriums, computer labs, public spaces, learning centers, courtyards, etc.
