Yes! this is too ambitious for African settings like in Uganda, we just have to be patient, but this the ideal constructive learning spaces to meet the ever changing need of technology development.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoThe main activity is on line which means that activity takes place with just a device connected to internet; physical reconstruction is not necessary for one to connect a device to the internet and begin to collect, share and build knowledge outside the four walled classrooms.
To exist online we do not have to reconstruct our physical environment…[Read more]-
internet is an important aspect in learning beyond the classroom walls
-
Edward this is a wonderful post. Teaching using online resources does not only break down the walls but it is also another avenue to let learners collaborate.
-
collaborate and access a variety of information, where they can study, analyse and select the most appropriate information
-
-
But in the real sense of it more learning now takes place out side the classroom than inside of it.
-
Hi Ben,
At what level and in which context?

I have this to consolidate the argument:

Walter, I think the 1st one is not necessarily about learning outside the classroom walls, but rather the relationships between home, school and the community.
-
i thought so long us are using it outside the classroom walls, you have already broken the walls Prossy

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agotechnology brings a community learning system in nature. its broad, students can learn, interact, collaborate, relate, connect, access information beyond the walls of a classroom. hence breaking classroom walls
-
True Walter. If they can do all this without being pressured to stick to the traditional ways, even those walls they see will cease to cause them any discomfort. Hence breaking the walls.
-
exactly
-
-
So true walter, the students are infact given a challenge to think out of the box!
-
True Walter. It’s not physical breaking down of the walls but rather the flexibilty that comes with technology allowing learning to take place beyond the confines of the classroom.
-
they always advice us always to think outside the box and this is what all this is about
-
-
With all these mobile devises available they can continue working away from class.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoMy position is you do not really need to bring down the physical walls to integrate technology into learning. Technology and innovative learning design can break down classroom walls in a virtual sense and that is sufficient for social learning styles of the future. My reasons will follow soon.
-
good
we shall be waiting -
Ok Edward.
-
Great, Still waiting!
-
Very right Edward. It’s true the classroom walls are not physically broked down.
-
Of course breaking down the walls is figuratively used to refer to the act of extending learning beyond the traditional Classroom by the use of technology.
-
Willex, it may also refer to using the available space within the same walls or institution more creatively or better.
