I think this resource will enrich our understanding on breaking the walls concept.

in fact once this is put into practice. the coaching and cramming of answers so that students pass exams will come to an end.
-
Students are given opportunity to lead their teachers with their knowledge and interest in reaching beyond the classroom.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 7 months agoThe main activity is on line which means that activity takes place with just a device connected to internet; physical reconstruction is not necessary for one to connect a device to the internet and begin to collect, share and build knowledge outside the four walled classrooms.
To exist online we do not have to reconstruct our physical environment…[Read more]-
internet is an important aspect in learning beyond the classroom walls

Edward this is a wonderful post. Teaching using online resources does not only break down the walls but it is also another avenue to let learners collaborate.
-
collaborate and access a variety of information, where they can study, analyse and select the most appropriate information

But in the real sense of it more learning now takes place out side the classroom than inside of it.

Hi Ben,
At what level and in which context?

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 7 months agoI do agree that walls shouldnt physically be broken down but insteady creating learning spaces which allow learing take place any where anytime. On this web site there is many ways of how this can be done
http://www.encyclopedia.com/telecommunications/educational-magazines/virtual-integrated-teaching-and-learning-environment-vitle-
Thanks Julius. This is a rich site. It gives detailed information on how to go about incorporating technologies, what e-learning entails and its advantages and constraints. It shows how technology brings down walls.
-
Good work Julius. In this cite i have got insights on the virtual teaching and learning environments.

VITLE allows one to teach in a virtual classroom and makes teaching easy for non-technical teachers.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 7 months agoI also take the view that classroom walls do not have to be physically broken down. Learning can take place anywhere with technology using internet connected devices. Any space can be turned into a learning space e.g. homes, museums, playgrounds, field excursion, green spaces, auditoriums, computer labs, public spaces, learning centers, courtyards, etc.
