7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoTechnology is changing the way in which we view learning spaces and the personal learning environment of our students because students surf the Internet, Tweet, use Facebook and come up with lots of learning material that a teacher may fail to find single handed for his learners. We as teachers at school need to allow our learners to explore the…[Read more]

Yes! this is too ambitious for African settings like in Uganda, we just have to be patient, but this the ideal constructive learning spaces to meet the ever changing need of technology development.

True, Joan you have good research on learning spaces. It is true to echo some of the insights about learning spaces the learning spaces have to be altered to accomodate the technology. including sitting arrangment.
-
I also think that altering learning spaces can accomodate a large number students because while others come for experiments at school, others stay home on virtual space class may be on collaborative exercise
-
-
This gives a shift in paradigm from the traditional ‘teaching’ to more constructive ‘learning’ for instance, from simply recalling to discovery. Agree with you Joan

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoWith technology, we break the walls in a virtual sense. Owing to the costly nature of putting up new structures for learning spaces, utilising the old ones and just integrate would be good enough.
Secondly, putting up new structures is a long term achievement there fore time consuming. So retaining old structures and redesigning classroom…[Read more]-
Amiana i agree with you ,its easy to redesign our old classrooms and cost effective than reconstructing our walls , the fact that technology tools are becoming cheap and accessible than raising funds to construct building which is a long time investment

I totally agree with you when you say that owing to the costly nature of putting up new structures for learning spaces, utilizing the old ones and just integrate would be good enough. Because technology grows every day and a lot become obsolete once time passes by yet new innovations in technology do not wait.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 5 months agoHello members, I also agree that technology can break down the walls of a classroom and create virtual learning spaces. Just take an example of this CCTI Course we are doing. There are no classroom wall but we can continue with the course. Let’s have a look at this link m…[Read more]
