in fact once this is put into practice. the coaching and cramming of answers so that students pass exams will come to an end.

Students are given opportunity to lead their teachers with their knowledge and interest in reaching beyond the classroom.

7.4 Construction group 9 years, 7 months agoPhysical space must be changed because schools are still very much constrained by some of the following issues:
1. Working conditions: such as optimal lighting or ergonomics for sitting, writing, reading or listening, are not sufficiently addressed;
2. Purchasing decisions and location of new technologies: often constrained by district…[Read more]-
From the link given i have actually learnt that space designed to allow for several activities is reason to give learners chance to carry out more projects compared to the traditional set-up.

Yes, there is a lot of collaboration when learning using technology. The sitting arrangement in the classroom needs to be constructed to support the collaboration which is a key characteristic of learning using technology. There is also need to structure the classrooms with power sources that will supply the technology during use.

From the shared link, I get points that emphasize factors that limit the adjustment and redesigning of learning spaces. True and they are common to many of our school situations.
However we need to share information on what basis or factors do justify the need for the learning spaces to be redesigned at certain points Jackie. What is your take? -
Thanks for the observation! There is need to improve on those areas highlighted which all encompass physical environment if we are make headway in technology integration.

7.4 Construction group 9 years, 7 months agoPhysical spaces need to be constructed for effective technology integration. Students need adequate space if we are to guide them on task and also when sharing with others. Collaboration is not only online but also physical and socially

Thank you Jackie,
I come in to say that actually human dynamics are key to work space design. -
I do agree with you Jackie with this. In reality allowing room for both online and physically interactions by any kind of design is itself flexibility. We have to think through plans and settings that allow more of these adjustments gradually.

Thank Willex. In one resource (https://www.edutopia.org/blog/visualizing-21st-century-classroom-design-mary-wade ) Mary Wade encourages us teachers to utilise the existing classrooms and turning them into 21st Century classrooms. She outlines elements of 21 Century classrooms and shows how teachers can visualize and implement them.

7.4 Technology Group 9 years, 7 months agoI also take the view that classroom walls do not have to be physically broken down. Learning can take place anywhere with technology using internet connected devices. Any space can be turned into a learning space e.g. homes, museums, playgrounds, field excursion, green spaces, auditoriums, computer labs, public spaces, learning centers, courtyards, etc.

Nice to hear joan.
