7.3 1 – old things and old ways – dedicated technology venues 9 years, 5 months ago Hi members I conducted the internet search for images of computer labs in relation to doing old things in old ways. I have then realized that, the kind of activities that are possible in these venues that would not be as easily achieved in high density computer labs are the following:
• Computer lab lessons e.g. on Google drive
• Computer lab rules e.g. no food or drink in the computer lab
• Elementary computer lab that is to say what each letter stands for in computer lab e.g. C stands for come with clean hands.
• Computer teacher
• Computer citizenship
• Bulletin boards e.g. about computer mouse you could put a statement like don’t be crazy clicker and you show them how to do the clicking.
• Internet safety e.g. having a poster with a statement like control your digital foot print.
The restrictions on learning in such venue are now to follow the rules, elementary computer lab statements and bulletin board statements.
This type of venue makes it easier for teachers to engage with learners because when they get stuck somewhere they can easily get solutions by observing what has been displayed in the computer lab.
